Thomas J

Isulam (born Thomas J) is a guitarist, producer and event organiser from Cape Town, South Africa.

Born and raised in Polokwane, Isulam discovered his passion for the "Gwit" (guitar) at a very young age. He had his debut performance in 2013 at a freedom day ceremony at Limpopo Arts and culture associacion" where met his mentor and future business partner Erik Paliani.

Isu has hosted and curated various events around Johannesburg and the Limpopo province & has collaborated with well known performers such as Judith sephuma, Carlo Jooste, Tlale Makhane, Micheal Phillips, Leeroy Sauls and more.

After breaking the glass ceiling in his home province Isulam moved to Johannesburg for months to work on his currently unreleased Debut EP titled behind the guitar with artists like Versatile Beats, Veenus, Some. Unique. Individual (S.U.I) and Prof Ceaz.

Isulam has a unique playing style and swag, his rhythmic approach resembles that of the legendary Jimmi Hendricks. The audience, fans and people who have heard his skills may even argue that he is the Jimmi Hendricks of our time, if not something greater.
